Using a map the Rubberobos had left at his home, Ikki and Metabee approach the hideout. Inside Mrs. Tenryou has been charming the Rubberobo's by mending their uniforms and cooking soup for them. This makes them more reluctant to release her. Gilgirl is first to challenge Ikki as "Gilda Girlecova" with her Tiger-type bot Spiritus and Dragon-type bot Seagaru. Since Ikki has never robattled Gilgirl under her real name, he has the opportunity to gain a point in the standings if he wins. The battle commences. Spiritus with its driver claw attack and Seagaru with its laser attack and tough armor gain the upper hand until Metabee learns that those two bots never got along in the past. Metabee cleverly gets them to fight with one another distracting them long enough to use his seeker missiles. Function Cease!

Metabee wins the battle, but is left with some damage after getting a little too close to his own missiles. But it's not over! Now Shrimplips and Squidguts challenge with their bots Gokudo and Gobanko. Metabee has already battled these bots so no points will be gained, however, for the release of Ikki's mom this battle means everything. Poor Metabee is getting trashed by the strength of these bots.....UNTIL... The determination to save Ikki's mother has brought out the MEDAFORCE! Again Metabee is victorious, but he is left totally exhausted.

With the impending release of Mrs. Tenryou, the whole Rubberobo gang begins to attack. Out of nowhere, Arcbeetle and SpaceMedafighter X appear to save Ikki, unfortunately, the underground hideout is brought down in the process. Our heroes escape unharmed as the Rubberobos retreat. A helicopter arrives with Koji, Erika, and the others. Koji pleads with Ikki to find another contender since there was still 30 minutes left before the standings were announced. Ikki refuses claiming Metabee has already taken enough damage.

As the minutes tick away....SpaceMedafighter X taunts Ikki calling him a quitter and dishonorable with no will to succeed. This angers Ikki into challenging the No. 1 ranked medafighter into a robattle. Will this robattle give Ikki a shot at the championships??? I'm biting my nails waiting....oh the anticipation!!!
