The Agony of the Cheat

Episode Summary

Ikki and Metabee are walking down by the river when they see Ginkai and ArcDash training. Ikki wants to see if Ginkai will really play by the rules so he challenges him to a robattle. Before the battle can begin Ikki's mom shows up and says she needs to see him at home. Ikki reschedules the robattle with Ginkai to the next day.

Once at home Mrs. Tenryo reveals a test paper she found in Ikki's garbage. He scored a mere 20%! Mr. Tenryo lays down the law telling Ikki that he cannot robattle until he gets better grades on his Math tests. Realizing he has a test the next day, Ikki goes to his room determined to study. Unfortunately, he fell asleep and ends up performing worse on this test than the last one. He makes up a lame excuse to Ginkai... putting him off once again.

Ikki has another Math test coming up and this time he has his mind set on cheating. He enlists the help of Zuru and his bot, . When Samantha interrupts the class almost catching Ikki in the act of cheating, the teacher allows for those disrupted to take the test after school.

It's now after school, and Ikki is determined to get a good grade by cheating. He purposely rips his 1st paper and asks for a replacement. Ikki then drops the old paper out the window for Metabee to retrieve. Metabee races to Ms. Nae's place practically knocking over Masa and his Skelbots. Since its after school, Ms. Nae thinks she is just helping Ikki with his homework. The fact is...Ikki is watching everything from his medawatch. She answers many of the problems until Masa arrives angry and ready to robattle.

Metabee is teased into a battle, but without Ikki, the Skelbots are winning. Ginkai arrives in time to help. Even though Masa is playing dirty, Ginkai refuses to stoop to his level. Ikki watches the battle between Masa and Ginkai, and notices that Ginkai never resorts back to his old ways. Ginkai ends up winning the robattle.

At school, Ikki admits to his teacher that he was cheating. Because he confessed, his teacher allowed him to take the test over. This time Ikki scored an 80% and his father removed the robattle ban punishment. Not long after, Ikki and Ginkai meet to robattle by the rules.
