Van and Justin face off in the Catacombs Tournament. Van ends up winning by default as Justin's Emperor shut down due to its inability to keep up with the boy's quick moves.
To Van's surprise, Justin revealed he is part of the New Dawn Raisers, and because of his loss, Justin gives Van the location of his father.
After the competition, Van and the others are informed that Cillian Kaido is the leader of the New Dawn Raisers.
