Kaz encounters a unusual vendor who is pushing to sell him a particular LBX. When the boy picks it up, the mysterious LBX called Egypt (Pharaoh in the English version) appears to hypnotize him. In a trance, Kaz challenges Van.
Turns out that the New Dawn Raisers are responsible. They will stop at nothing to destroy Achilles! They, however, did not expect Achilles to go into V-Mode and defeat Kaz.
Below is what happened in the English version. In the Japanese version, the kids are asked to help stop an assassination attempt.
Later, a man approaches Van, Kaz, and Amy. He identifies himself as Tyler and asks them to join him at the Blue Cats Coffee shop. While there, Van learns that his father is alive and had been kidnapped. They are, also, introduced to the LBX, Hunter. This LBX is given to Kaz. Van is told that if they win an LBX tournament, his father will be released.
