As we pick up from last episode, Yamaki is running a test of the Juggernaut System. Digimon from
all over are drawn into its vortex. Yamaki hates Digimon and sadistically enjoys listening to their
screams as they are reduced to scattered data. Takato and Guilmon can see a digital fog forming and
come running. They encounter Yamaki, and he reveals his plans. Takato is enraged by Yamaki's insensitivity.
Suddenly Yamaki's plan to rid the world of Digimon backfires. A vortex breach occurs allowing the first
of the Deva's, Mihiramon, to appear on top of the Hypnos building. Mihiramon taunts Yamaki with threats of
world domination. As Henry and Terriermon approach the data field, they are confronted by an angry Yamaki.
He lifts Henry up by the shirt collar blaming him and his other digi-loving freaks for causing their
existence. Yamaki wanders off disgruntled just as Rika joins Henry.
All three Tamers unite beneath the
Hypnos building. Rika helps Renamon digivolve to Kyubimon for she is the first to battle Mihiramon. Her
dragon Wheel attack doesn't even phase the Deva, and Renamon is sent flying off the building, landing on the
cement below.
It's Terriermon to the rescue next. Henry assists in his digi-volution to Gargomon.
However, Gargomon too is defeated and de-digivolves. Takato is feeling great apprehension, but allows
Guilmon to digivolve to Growlmon for battle. He adds wings so Growlmon is able to reach the Hypnos roof.
At first it appears that Growlmon is weakening Mihiramon, but then the Deva seizes him with an agonizing
bite to the shoulder.
What is happening? Takato suddenly feels the same pain that is searing through
Growlmon's body. The pain convinces Takato that the battle is over, and he collapses. Takato, in his
unconscienceness, finds himself in a world of clocks. Growlmon explains the battle is not over, and they
must continue to fight. Takato awakens to find Calumon in front of him. He declares while he is still
breathing, he will continue to fight. He grabs for his cards and pulls out another blue card. Calumon
glows (soon we're going to find out just what this little guy has to do with digivolving). Growlmon Matrix
evolution to Wargrowlmon. Cyborg type ultimate. Wahoo!!
Mihiramon continues to fight, and Takato is
feeling every hit. He instructs Wargrowlmon to finish it, and he does! The battle is over. In the
distance, Kazu, Kenta, and Jeri have seen the victory, and they are impressed. Wargrowlmon praises
Takato. Takato declares, "We're gonna need a lot more peanut butter!"
Here are some of my favorite
quotes:
I will never be a servant to any of you data scum! (Yamaki)
You ignorant digi-loving
freaks! (Yamaki)
We haven't finished yet. Growlmon is still willing to fight, and as long as I'm still
breathing, I'll be right there by his side! (Takato)
You and your humans! Digimon could of had supreme
power over both worlds, but you had to ruin everything! (Mihiramon)
Let's give a big hand to
Steve Blum who was Saban's writer on this superb episode. Awesome job Steve!
