SYNOPSIS

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to play God? Think of it….you have the power to determine who lives or dies. What would you do if you had that power? The elimination of criminals would seem like a logical choice, but is it fair to make one person both judge and jury?

Light Yagami thought he could do just that after finding a mysterious notebook. This notebook came with instructions telling the holder that when an individual’s name is written inside the book, that person would subsequently die. ”This can’t be for real,” he thought at first, but after trying it on a couple of criminals, Light was convinced. After a string of mysterious deaths, the police become involved. One of the detectives on the case is the quirky, yet brilliant “L” While it is Light’s goal to “clean up the world”, it is L’s goal to catch the person responsible. In this dual of wits, who do you think will win out in the end? The answer is revealed after 37 episodes of compelling entertainment.

Death Note, the anime series, aired in Japan from October, 2006 through June, 2007. It is scheduled to commence airing on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim on October 20, 2007. Mark your calendars everyone....this is one series you won't want to miss!
