Tai talks about how weather has been changing around the earth and how in the middle of July it started snowing! He introduces himself and six other kids: Sora, Matt, Izzy, Mimi, T.K., and Joe. Suddenly a huge blizzard  came out of nowhere while they were all at summer camp. Izzy worries over his internet connections and is called outside. They all see the Aurora Borealis. Seven little beams shoot out of the sky and crash to the ground. Izzy guesses they are meteors but they each pick one up and Izzy proclaims they are a "Remote Digital Apparitions." (digivices) Then a green wave rolls from out of nowhere. Tai: "Surf's up!" And it sucks them all inside.

Tai wakes up in a forest to find a pink creature sitting on his chest. He jumps up and stumbles away and Tai is starting to freak out when the creature introduces himself as Koromon. Tai:"Koromon? That means..talking head?" Izzy shows up and tells Tai that a little pink thing has been following him. Izzy's pink thing introduces himself as Motimon. Izzy:"I don't remember anything like this in the camp brochure." Koromon and Motimon tell them that they are in the DigiWorld. Tai climbs up a tree and looks through his telescope and sees the ocean and some mountains. Tai then sees a huge insect creature flying towards him. Koromon says that the big red beetle is Kuwagamon. The beetle chops off the top of the tree Tai is in and Koromon spits a pink bubble at it. (Like that helped anything.) Kuwagamon roars and knocks Tai out of the tree and Koromon falls after him. Kuwagamon comes back around and Motimon leads them inside a tree. Izzy: "What kind of tree is this?" Motimon: "It's a hiding tree silly!" They stay quite till they no longer hear Kuwagamon. They come out to find Sora.

Sora has a small pink creature with a blue flower on it's head. (Are all these things pink!?) She introduces her creature as Yokomon. Sora: "My own personal something or other." Tai: "It looks like a radish." A white creature appears accompanied by T.K. The creature introduces itself as Tokomon. Matt follows T.K. and is holding and orange creature with a black horn. It is introduced as Tsunomon. T.K. and Tokomon are playing as Joe runs in yelling followed by a brown creature with orange hair. It introduces itself as Bukamon. Joe asks what they are and the creatures respond in unison. "We're Digimon: Digital Monsters." The kids reintroduce themselves. (Are first episodes always this introductive?) Sora:"Hey, what happened to the girl in the funny pink hat?"

Right on cue, Mimi yells for help. They run to see her running with a green digimon with leaf hair. Tai is about to tell her the digimon is okay but then Kuwagamon flies out from behind Mimi. The green digimon introduces itself as Tanemon. Kuwagamon comes back again and they run for it. They all duck as it swoops down. Joe:"My mom is gonna want a complete and total refund!" The beetle digimon chases them through the forest to the end of a cliff. Matt:"Great. Anyone bring a helicopter?" Kuwagamon dives at Tai and Koromon saves him with another spit of pink bubbles. Then it attacks the rest of the group and the other digimon fly up and spit a barrage of pink bubbles. (Eww...) The stupid Kuwagamon crashes into the trees. (Hee hee) Everyone gets up and runs to their digimon. Kuwagamon roars and comes out of the trees, clicking his pincers. (Does this guy ever quit!?) Everyone runs to the edge of the cliff as the insect advances. Matt: "I knew I should have brought my bug spray." All the digimon struggle free of their human partners and form a line.

The digivices all start glowing and lights come down from the sky and light up the digimon. Koromon "digivolves" into a yellow dinosaur, Agumon. Yokomon digivolves to a pink bird, Biyomon. Motimon digivolves to a red and black insect, Tentomon. Tsunomon digivolves to a blue and white striped Gabumon. Tokomon digivolves to an orange Patamon. Bukamon digivolves to a white seal, Gomamon. Tanemon digivolves to a green plant, Palmon. They all lunge at Kuwagamon and are swatted down. Palmon:"Poison Ivy!" Vines wrap around Kuwagamon's leg and keeps him from flying away. Patamon flies up. Patamon:"Boom Bubble!" A bubble of wind strikes Kuwagamon hard. Tentomon flies up, Tentomon:"Super Shocker!" Electricity sparks and hits it. Gomamon runs forward to trip Kuwagamon and Agumon attacks with a fireball. Agumon:"Pepper Breath!" Gabumon fires a blue beam and Biyomon, a green beam. Gabumon:"Blue Blaster!" Biyomon: "Spiral Twister!" Kuwagamon roars and they all use their attacks at once. It's chest bursts into flames and falls into the trees.

The digmon cheer and run back to their partners who are amazed at their new forms. (Just when you thought it was safe.) Kuwagamon comes out and cracks the cliff edge. (Why wont you die!?) They all plunge down but what happens next!? You'll have to wait for the next episode of Digimon! (Talk about a cliffhanger ending!)
