Outside the airport, Mimi looked around and spotted someone standing beside a convertible,
waving in her direction. As she got closer, she realized that it was Sora! Mimi started running,
and in no time was hugging her friend profusely.

"It's good to see you again, Mimi," Sora said, a little embarrassed at the sudden show of affection,
"It's been so long since I've seen you." Mimi shook her head.

"It's only been a year since the last digi-world fiasco," she replied, looking Sora over,
"Sora…is that a new outfit?"
Sora blushed at the comment.

"Yeah," she said, "I'm going to surprise Matt with it. You wanna come and double the surprise?"
Mimi got a glint in her eye that looked a lot like it did in the days of their first adventure to
the digital world.

"Let's do it," she responded, clapping Sora on the back, "It's been too long since I've seen that
stubborn boyfriend of yours." Mimi jumped into the passenger side, while Sora walked around and
climbed into the driver's seat. Mimi's eyes suddenly became suspicious.

"Sora…" she asked, "Aren't you a little young to be driving on your own?" Sora grinned.

"Who said I was alone?" she said, rather loudly. Suddenly, a hand reached up from the backseat
and touched Mimi on the shoulder. Mimi shrieked as if she had a demon beside her, but then settled
down when she saw who it was.

"Yes," Sora cried, pumping her fist into the air, "Nice job, Matt!"
Matt sat up and grinned, before giving Mimi a big hug.

"It's great to see you again, Mimi," he said. Mimi's cheeks flushed at Matt's comment.

"It's great to see you guys too," she replied shakily. Sora just smiled as she drove.

"Enough about us, Mimi," she said, "Tell us…has anything interesting happened since your plane landed?"
Mimi frowned at the question, but her eyebrows went up as she remembered the details.

"Oh yeah," she said, "I did meet this cute guy at the airport." Matt grinned in the backseat.

"Always on the lookout for someone new, eh Mimi?" he asked. Mimi shook her head furiously.

"Of course not," she exclaimed, "Although he did look…intriguing."
Matt shook his head.

"I feel sorry for the guy already," he said jokingly. Mimi shrugged her shoulders.

"Who knows if I'll see him again," she wondered, "but enough of this. Let's get to Tai's house.
I can't wait to see what he and Kari have been up to."

Meanwhile, Jake and his parents are in the park. Jake groaned. It was going to be another one of
those days. After Mimi had left the airport, he went off to find his parents. He found them at the
baggage claim counter, arguing with the clerk. When he asked them what happened, they simply said
that someone had lost his luggage, and that someone was the airline, in their eyes. Luckily, Jake
was able to calm them down, and they went to check into their hotel.

Now it was a couple hours later. He walked over to the bench his parents were sitting on.
"I'm going to go and talk to some people my own age," he said, "I'll be back in a little while."
He turned and walked off down a path, searching for someone to talk to. As he was walking, he thought
about what he would do now that he was in a foreign country on the other side of the world. Suddenly,
he was snapped out of his state by a female voice that yelled, "Look out!"

He barely had enough time to duck as a rock whistled by his head a quarter of an inch from where his
forehead just was. He spun around and saw a kid his age who was large and muscular. Probably the
local bully, he thought as he raced down the path and quickly ate up the distance between them.
The guy's face changed from one of confidence to one of fear. He quickly turned to get away, but
Jake was there.

He threw his fist at the guy in a roundhouse punch, but brought his hand forward very slightly.
The guy's eyes widened as it came closer and closer…and breathed a sigh of relief as it whistled
by harmlessly a few feet in front of his nose. But Jake spun with his punch, brought his leg
out and kicked the guy's legs out from under him.

The bully landed with a thud, kicking up dust from the ground. As he blinked his eyes rapidly,
trying to clear his vision, Jake crouched over him.

"Let this be a lesson to you," he said. He turned to walk away, but spun and punched him in the
nose, fracturing a few bones. He got up, brushed himself off and strolled off down the path in the
direction that the voice came from.
