Episode 31: A New Darkness, Millenniumon

Taichi and Sora are reunited. However, Lopmon has begun to glow. He tells them WarGreymon's awakening have called back his ancient memories. "I am the remnant of the Digimon, Cherubimon, who led the Army of Light in the ancient war", he says. Taichi and Sora are told that their evolutions are made possible by the bond between digimon and partner (no news there).

Suddenly, Bakemon, frontline troops of the new darkness, attack. While fleeing Lopmon sends his memories to the children's consciousness. They see the ultimate weapon born of darkness, Millenniumon. In addition, both Angemon and another Holy digimon are seen defeating Millenniumon in the ancient war. However, they are told that complete elimination was not possible and remnant shards rained down on the Cloud Continent and this Eternal Continent. The children learn the dark lightning striking the Digital World is the energy from the human world. That energy becomes the Digital World's fuel, and it is about to change Millenniumon's shards sleeping within the land.

Elsewhere, Izzi estimates the satellites are heading toward the ISS (International Space Station). A collision could cause catastrophic damage on Earth and the epicenter is Tokyo!!

Agumon and Piyomon must evolve when more Bakemon attack. Unfortunately, the Bakemon evolve into Metalfantomon, an Ultimate Digimon! Taichi's battle intensifies when Metalfantomon evolves to Gokumon, a Mega Digimon! In the sky, Birdramon must evolve to Garudamon to defeat the Metalfantomon, while MetalGreymon must evolve to WarGreymon to defeat Gokumon!

After the fight is over, Komondomon emerge. While riding Taichi learns that there is another Holy Digimon, and Hikari is most likely it's partner. Komondomon are sent to rescue Digimon who desire peace, as well as, find the other Chosen Children and their Partners.
