Picking up from the last episode, Davis chases the truck that carries Ken on foot, but he stumbles. Joe's brother, Shuu, arrives in a yellow VW bug, and Davis hops in as they give chase. When Lady Devimon starts wreaking havoc, Kari and Yolei exit to stop her. Gatomon and Hawkmon DNA digivolve to Silphymon.
Meanwhile, inside the truck, Oikawa introduces himself to Ken explaining that they met once before at his brother's funeral. When Ken realizes that it was Oikawa that sent the email, it sends shivers down his spine. Oikawa explains that the children were never kidnapped...they came of their own free will. They learned that they could be just like Ken and were anxious to have that happen. Ken is tied up with his own scarf, and Oikawa proceeds to makes copies of Ken's spore. Not quite sure why (painful?, drained his energy?, or just overwhelmed?) but Ken loses consciousness as he is doing this.
Outside, chaos is taking place in various locations in the city. Silphymon comes crashing down onto the pavement after taking a hit from Lady Devimon. A young man offers the digimon a hand, but he is grabbed and placed in a choke hold by Lady Devimon. Yolei comes to the rescue and whacks her with a skateboard...releasing the boy. When Lady Devimon turns on Yolei, Silphymon is forced to destroy her. Yolei is devastated, but understands that it couldn't be helped.
Back in the truck, Ken regains consciousness while Oikawa is copying the spore properties into the other children. He begs the man to stop, but he makes it look like Ken is a selfish person.
Although Shuu is trying his best, the appearance of Marine Devimon has caused traffic to come to a standstill. Davis decides to continue the chase on Raidramon. T.K. and Copy's digimon DNA digivolve to Shakkoumon in order to fight Marine Devimon. When the fight gets too close to a hospital. T.K., Cody and Shuu help evacuate the patients. The danger to human life becomes a reality and Shakkoumon is forced to destroy Marine Devimon. Cody is shaken at first, but soon understood.
Elsewhere, Davis and Raidramon have caught up to the truck. However, it stops suddenly when Daemon appears before it.
