Frightened apartment dwellers watch as Stingmon and Garurumon destroy a control spire. Matt is cheering its destruction when Ken runs up saying renegade digimon are inhabiting the ruins and they'd better get there before any damage is done.
When the boys get to the ruins, they find it heavily guarded, and unfortunately, there are no Mexican digidestined to help as they have curfews for children in Mexico. Matt and Ken try to get in using the direct approach....saying Ken's little sister may be in there. That doesn't fool the guard, and he sends the boys away. As the boys strategize in the nearby bushes, Jose' (Gennai's Mexican counterpart) shows up. He does some strange combination of martial arts diverting the guards attention so Ken and Matt can sneak inside the ruins.
Once inside, they meet up with Rosa and her Gotsumon. Rosa has a huge crush on Ken which makes Wormmon angry. While continuing through the Ruin caverns, Jose' joins up with them. It isn't long before they discover a Docugumon and a Minitormon. Not wanting to fight within the Ruins, Matt and Gabumon get the renegade digimon to chase them outside. Just outside Minitormon starts to crush the ruin walls. Ken turns to wormmon.
Wormmon digivolve to Stingmon.
In the woods beyond the Ruins, the digimon continue to go on a rampage knocking down many trees. Matt wants this destruction to stop! Gabumon uses the power of Alzulongmon to digivolve to Weregarurumon. Rosa wants to help as well......so....
Gotsumon digivolve to Monochromon.
They join forces and soon those pesky renegade digimon are sent back to where they belong. After all is said and done, Rosa gets sleepy and mumbles something in Spanish just before she dozes off. Wormmon thinks it's something insulting, but Ken tells him, "Not at all, she said, Stingmon, you're the greatest."
Ken and Matt take Rosa home and watch unnoticed as her worried parents bring her inside. Wormmon asks Ken how to say thank you in Spanish. The small digimon utters, "Gracious, Rosa," just before they leave.
And now it's on to Sora and Yolei in Russia.
Yolei and Sora meet Anna (Unimon), Sonya (Snimon), and Yuri (Kawagamon), however, they are unable to communicate with one another. After some embarrassing silence and confused looks at each other, Yolei comes up with a plan. She explains that when she says purushki then fly to the right and when borst fly to the left and caviar means we attack. The group head out to defeat the invading flymon. Yolei commands the group like an experienced General and soon the flymon are returned to the digital world. Once back on land, Yolei's stomach begins to growl. Yuri, Anna, and Sonya invite them for a delicious Russian lunch, but Gennai's counterpart, Ilya, shows up and thwarts that plan. He tells Yolei and Sora that they must hurry to Siberia where elephantmon are wreaking havoc.
Yolei and Sora arrive in Siberia where it's snowing heavily. The girls are freezing but determined. Suddenly, an attack from one of the Mammothmon causes Sora to fall from Garudamon. Luckily Aquillamon grabs her just in time. While the girls are on the ground recuperating, the Mammothmon come charging at them. Imperialdramon arrives just in time to save the day.
All the digidestined (except Kari and Izzy) are reunited again. Ilya arrives and has the girls send the final renegade digimon back. Everyone is ready to return to Japan, but Yolei and Sora. They start crying knowing that they will not see their delicious Russian lunch. The others just stare at them confused, especially Matt who is wondering, "Just who is this Yuri guy???"
Christmas music plays showing all the foreign digidestined celebrating the Holiday in their own way. Imperialdramon heads for home. Speaking of home.....Arukenimon approaches another lonely child. "Are you ready to be a hero?" She asks. The episode ends showing Arukenimon and Mummymon driving a large truck sneering how Arukenimon has come up with the most delicious plan yet! What is that plan?
