The digidestined are still repairing the digital world this time fixing a bridge. Davis complains that he is tired so they stop and rest. They finish off the bridge and walk off with Yolei commenting that "the bridge turned out pretty good despite Davis causing that rockslide". Davis says it wasn't his fault it was flamedramon's. Flamedramon says that it wasn't, and Davis and Flamedramon argue. Gatomon breaks it up.
As the digidestined are walking along (Davis & Veemon still arguing), the scene cuts to Arukenimon who is annoyed at a split-end in one of her hairs. She pulls out another hair and uses her spirit needle to create Minotarumon. Arukenimon orders him to destroy the bridge and he sets off to do so.
The digidestined are walking when they see Minotarumon destroying the bridge. Veemon armor digivolves to raidramon but just gets knocked into the water. Hawkmon joins the fray and digivolves into Aquilamon. Aquilamon picks up Minotarumon but ends up dropping him on the bridge. This reveals to everyone that he is not a real digimon so Gatomon and Patamon armor digivolve to Pegususmon and Nefertimon. They use there golden noose and Raidramon jumps out of the water and defeats Minotarumon.
The digidestined are happy that they defeated Minotarumon but then they notice that the bridge is damaged once again. Davis is upset so the others cheer him up saying they can just rebuild it. Davis suddenly gets an idea to call Ken to help, but the others still aren't sure if he can be trusted. Davis explains that when he saw the golden digiegg, it felt like it was telling him to trust Ken. The others are still not convinced.
Izzy (in the real world) notices a warp in the digital world in the area were Ken's base went down so he sends the digidestined to investigate. The digidestined see Ken's old base and Davis figures the base is unstable, because Ken's crest isn't there anymore. Davis uses his D-terminal to contact Ken.
Ken is at home when Arukenimon appears on the computer screen and the two engage in a heated discussion....("What do you want from me?" and yada, yada, yada...). Half way through the phone rings and wormmon picks up. Izzy and wormmon talk for a little bit, and then he passes the phone to Ken. Izzy tells Ken about the emergency and that he needs to get his crest to his old base. Ken heads off.
Back at the base the digidestined are waiting for Ken when Arukenimon shows up. She uses spirit needle on 10 control spires to create Okuwamon. Everyone digivolves to champion except Gatomon who armor digivolves to Nefertimon and attacks. Okuwamon has the upper hand and soon only Exveemon is left. Ken finally appears and Stingmon joins the battle. Stingmon says he take it from here. Exveemon says, "Are you nuts, he's an ultimate!" Stingmon says, "I don't care I'll do it alone." Ken and Davis are also arguing. Ken insists he do it alone...."Nobody is going to get hurt for my mistake." Davis helps Ken to realize ...."If he's not here, then how will you fix your mistakes?" Ken cringes and asks, "What happens if I screw up?" Davis responds with, "Then you hang with your friends cause they are always your friends even when you screw up." Ken says, "Great so what do you do if you haven't got any friends?" Davis and Ken's Digivices start glowing. Amazingly Exveemon and Stingmon Dna-Digivolve into Paildramon.
