Continuing from last episode, Ken's greatest creation, Kimeramon, is destroying Digimon cities leaving a path of destruction. Ken's base follows close behind erecting control spires in the devastated areas.
The digidestined watch from a distance. Cody is furious at the evil Digimon Emperor. How can we stop this path of destruction? Quickly, the level headed young boy has an idea that just may work. He emails Izzy, Matt, and Tai, who are waiting things out at the campsite. He informs them of a pipeline that crosses paths with Ken's base. Using that information, Izzy devises a plan. At the same time, the sound of Devimon's voice is having an impact on the Emperor's (Ken's) sanity. Poor Wormmon is concerned.
Returning to the pipeline, Gabumon, Tentomon, and Agumon work together unleashing a geyser of oil. Gabumon and Agumon light it using their "blue blaster" and "pepper breath" attacks. Ken's base flew directly into the heated path and becomes engulfed in flames. The diversion allows the digidestined kids to enter the base through a small door on the side. Unfortunately, their plan takes a turn for the worse when the Emperor spots them and sends dozens of Bakemon to attack.
After fighting off the first onslaught of Bakemon, Davis and the others head for the engine room. As they get closer, they are faced with more Bakemon and the worst foe of all......Kimeramon. The champion digimon use their fiercest attacks; thunder blast, eagle eye, star shower, Rosetta stone, gold rush. Too bad the attacks barely leave a scratch, and it only takes a couple of Kimeramon's Peace Piper's to cause the good digimon to de-evolve to their baby level. Ken sees their de-evolution and recognizes the small digimon as the ones he saw in the real world. Realizing small digimon are like human babies, Ken has a change of heart an orders Kimeramon to stop. He heads to their location saying he'll deal with those kids on his own.
With Kimeramon halted, Davis feels now is their chance, but T.K. and the others feel they should escape and re-group. Davis refuses to give up and demi-veemon stands by him. The hot-headed digidestined ventures on his own to the engine room. As he gets close, Davis can feel the presence of some power source.
Just as the others resolve to join Davis, Ken orders Kimeramon to stop them. The make-shift digimon defies the boy's orders and exits the base through a hole in the ceiling. That's when Devimon's voice taunts the Emperor once more. Ken falls to his knees shuddering in fear. Wormmon watches and decides that he must do something.
Meanwhile, Davis is about to enter the engine room when Wormmon blocks his path. In a surprising twist, the small worm digimon asks for Davis' help and leads the boy to the base's power source. The source changes to a glowing digi-egg unleashing tremendous power.
