EPISODE 13 - HIS MASTER'S VOICE

Summary/pic prepared by me (Julie) per request!

It's morning, and school is about to begin. Anyone arriving late is responsible for scraping the gum off the bottom of desks (Ewwww). T.K. startles Kari on their way in. Unfortunately, Kari has been jumpy due to a series of bad dreams.

Algebra class isn't going much better for Kari. As her instructor works problems on the board, Kari finds herself in a dark fog surrounded by water. T.K. notices that she appears to be disappearing and jumps up calling her name. Kari gets dizzy and a classmate helps her before she falls over. The instructor sends her to the nurses office. Outside the classroom...Kari sees visions of herself and Tai, as well as water and strange sneering noises.

After class, T.K. races out and looks for Kari. He searches and searches until he finally finds her sitting outside the school. When he asks her what is going on, she explains what is happening. She thinks Digimon are trying to take her to another dimension...one that is surrounded by water. Kari admits that she doesn't know if she's strong enough to prevent it from happening. T.K. gets angry and shouts, "Look, Kari, I care too much about you to let them take you without a fight!" Realizing what he said, T.K. gets embarrassed and exits quickly.

After school, Kari is drawn to the beach. Gatomon, who had been sleeping in a tree, sees her suddenly faze out leaving only her school backpack. (Watch this scene closely....there is a honking minivan, and Gatomon shouts, "You're speeding, Arrow (make of van)!" I never noticed that before.) Gatomon runs to the computer room and informs Yolei, Davis, T.K. and Cody that Kari has disappeared. Davis insists they go to the Digital world to look for her, but T.K. knows that is not where she is. He runs quickly to the beach, but cannot find a trace of Kari. He blames himself for not staying with her.

Meanwhile, Kari wanders the strange dark dimension that has taken her. Eventually, she approaches a cave. Inside she finds many suffering Scubamon. They tell her how a dark man came one day as they were serving their undersea master. He put them in dark spirals that stole their strength and made them slaves. They summoned Kari for she is powerful and can free them from the dark spirals. They beg for her help. As she touches one of the dark spirals, the cave begins to disintegrate. After everyone comes running out, the Digimon Emperor's, Airdramon, begins attacking them. Kari feels helpless and wishes her friends were there.

In the real world, T.K. sees Kari's vision coming through a bright portal. He, Gatomon, and Patomon jump into the light and arrive in the dimension with Kari. T.K. has Patomon immediately digivolve to Pegasusmon so they may fight against Airdramon. Gatomon wants to help, but she cannot digivolve, because Kari doesn't have her d-terminal. Gatomon instructs Pegasusmon to destroy a lighthouse that contains a control spire. Once that is destroyed, Gatomon is able to digivolve to Angewomon. It isn't long after that Pegasusmon and Angewomon make particles out of that Airdramon. Kari then tells Angewomon to release the Scubamon, but when she does, they evolve to dark creatures and grab Kari. Angewomon puts a stop to that. However, as they slink back into the sea, the creatures can be heard saying,"....but we thought you would love to become our Queen and help us in the battle against our undersea master. I guess we were wrong. Beware child, our master can sense your power, too, and he will come for you."

As the two chosen children and their Digimon are returning to the real world, Kari asks,"Hey, T.K., remember this morning when you said you really cared for me. What did you mean by that?"

T.K. replied, "Huh...well....you know...it was just....stuff."
That's when Kari responded with,"Well, you know what? I care for you, too."

Just after Kari and T.K. exit the dimension, a huge, dark, and ominous looking creature emerges from the sea. It's red eyes glow pure evil. Who is this undersea master?
