EPISODE 02 - THE DIGITEAM COMPLETE

Wonderful summary written by "Akino Ame"...Thank you!!

Yolei begs to go to the Digital World after hearing Davis's description of his adventure, but the danger of the gate closing on them puts a damper on her plans. Besides, she has to repair Cody's computer anyway, and everyone's got to go home for dinner (mac and cheese for Cody, stuffed green peppers and a salad for Izzy, TV dinners in the microwave for T.K., and "tuna surprise" courtesy of Mrs. Kamiya's lousy cooking for Tai and Kari).

T.K., Kari, and Tai meet up with the old gang (well, except Mimi, who would have a hard time getting from New York to Odaiba and back in time for school the next day) and start talking about the new developments. Sora worries how Biyomon will cope, and Kari explains that Mimi wondered the same about Palmon. Without the power to digivolve, the older kids are pretty useless. But nonetheless, Sora, Izzy, and Tai resolve to help the new Digis the next day as Matt has band practice, Joe has an oral test on laryngitis (I thought it was funny), and Mimi is, as I've said before, in another country.

Well, the next day rolls around and Yolei is hyped up to go. But just before they can open the digiport, Mr. Fujiyama walks in. Remember him? The teacher that got Tai with his Tickle Blaster attack in 01? Well, he's back. He's now the leader of the computer club, though he knows nothing about computers, and he's the one thing standing between the DigiDestined and their destiny. So naturally, Tai decides to create a diversion by saying he needs advice about women. Knowing they owe him a big one, the other seven enter the digiport, where they run into Patamon, Gatomon, Veemon, Biyomon, and Tentomon. But in the middle of their reunion, the Digimon Emperor attacks, having a Drimogemon cause Davis and Veemon to fall into a bottomless pit! Yolei and Cody are mortified; the Digital World suddenly isn't what they expected it to be. But Sora and Izzy convince them to get moving and follow the signal of two new Digieggs.

Biyomon and Tentomon lead them to a Mayan-looking temple, where the Digieggs of Love and Knowledge rest. After an unsuccessful attempt at lifting them, Sora and Izzy have Yolei and Cody try. From Love comes Hawkmon, a birdlike Digimon with a British accent and a belt on his head, and from Knowledge comes Armadillomon, who looks like, duh, an armadillo. They insist that the two must help them fight, but Yolei refuses, saying she only fights with her sister. Sora comments that Yolei reminds her of Mimi, and tells her that she must fight. Izzy asks Cody his opinion of the Digital World only to learn the little guy likes to get his facts straight before coming to a conclusion. Izzy comments how much that sounds like him, and basically convinces Cody to fight. Hawkmon tells them the magic words for digivolution, and it starts all over again:
"Digi-armor energize!"
"Hawkmon armor digivolve to...Halsemon, the Wings of Love!"
"Armadillomon armor digivolve to... Digmon, the Drill of Power!"

Meanwhile, Davis finds himself hanging off the side of a cliff with the Emperor mocking him the whole time. He's shocked to see the little tyrant is a kid just like him! Emperor snottily replies that if he and Davis were exactly alike, he'd be the one hanging off the side of a cliff, not the other way around. Then he reveals Veemon and threatens to control him with a Dark Ring, but Digmon shows up in the nick of time to save the little blue guy. Gatomon tells the Emperor, "This litter box isn't big enough for the both of us." Wormmon tries to protect Emperor ("tries" being the key word). He only gets smacked silly by a Lightning Paw and thrown into the Emperor's hand, causing him to drop Davis's digivice and D-terminal-right into Yolei's hands.

Again, making a long story short: Flamedramon, Digmon, and Halsemon kick some butt and the battle's over. The Digimon Emperor runs, yada-yada-yada... Tai walks to the computer lab, muttering about how Mr. Fujiyama has no clue about women when he sees the Digis piled on top of each other, Gatomon, Patamon, Poromon (Hawkmon's In-Training), Upamon (Armadillomon's In-Training), and DemiVeemon (Veemon's In-Training, obviously enough) nearby. Biyomon and Tentomon explain that they'll guard the area, proving that they'll still fight with or without the power to digivolve.
