DIGIMON FRONTIER - EPISODE 50
END OF THE LINE

My thanks to "Akino Ame" for this wonderful summary!
Images prepared by me (Julie).

The Last Episode of Digimon-for now, we hope. As it was the last episode of the season, I can't find a way to sum it all up. My advice is to watch it yourself. However, I can say that these were the highlights:
--The kids talking with their Spirits, face-to-face.
--All five kids uniting in Susanoomon's body (we get to see Koichi's hand holding up his digivice. Not sure if it's a plot hole or symbolization to say that he's with them in spirit)
--The battle against Lucemon, and how he just wouldn't die.
--Lucemon stabbing Susanoomon as the Spirits shove the kids out of the body.
--The ten Legendary Warriors uniting to destroy Lucemon
--The rebirth of the Digital and Real Worlds-even better than in "The Fate of Two Worlds"!
--Koichi's fate

(Note from Julie: I know most of you want to know exactly what happened to Koichi...I wrote this recap)

After the children defeat Lucemon, Koji gets word from Koichi's spirits that the boy is still alive..."but you must hurry". The children arrive back at Shibuya Station. Takuya leads the way to the stairwell only to find a police officer making his final report of the accident....no sign of Koichi. An anguished Koji inches down the stairs asking,"Where is he? Where is my brother?"

The scene changes to the hospital emergency room where doctors are feverously working on Koichi. The boy is not responding to anything, not even defibrillation. Suddenly, the chosen children burst in, and Koji runs to his lifeless brother. A signal emits from each of the children's detectors just as Koji's tears wet Koichi's cheek. The color returns to Koichi's once hollow eyes, and the boy awakens. Koji and Koichi embrace as everyone rejoices. (End Note)

--The epilogue: We get to see what happened to their families and friends.
At the end, the kids talk about how even though things have changed, they'll still always be the best of friends. Rather than seeing the words "to be continued.." at the bottom, we see "the end" written. Too true, isn't it? Well, all dreams must end sooner or later.

"And so...it ends!"
