Cherubimon gloats knowing he has the legendary warriors exactly where he wants them. He destroys Oryxmon stunning the children. Koichi is furious to learn Cherubimon used him to lure the children to this location. Lowemon uses his "shadow meteor" attack, but it has no effect. It seems without darkness the attack is useless. Cherubimon grabs Lowemon in an effort to take back the spirit.
Takuya and Koji fusion evolve and use their "atomic inferno" and "cleansing light" attacks against Cherubimon. What? The attacks are missing their target! Patamon explains the room's lighting is set up to cause the attacks to miss their target. Aldamon and Beowolfmon take Cherubimon outside telling the others to concentrate on freeing Ophanimon.
J.P. discovers the bars holding Ophanimon are reflections of intensified light. If they get rid of the mirrors, that should release her. The warriors use their best attacks to try and break through Ophanimon's prison cell.
Outside Aldamon and Beowolfmon are overpowered by Cherubimon's "lightning spear" attacks. It isn't long before the battle causes their de-evolution and the loss of their detectors. Cherubimon returns to the castle and confronts the other warriors. One by one they fall victim to his vicious attacks. Soon the evil digimon has all but Zoe's detector. Zephyrmon refuses to give up. When Cherubimon fires his "lightning spear", Ophanimon breaks through the weakened cage pushing Zephyrmon out of harms way. Zoe transforms to her human self, but at least she kept her spirits.
Ophanimon and Cherubimon face one another. When Cherubimon attacked, Ophanimon retaliated with her "Eden's javelin". The beautiful digimon expressed her disappointment at how easily Cherubimon was corrupted after working so hard for the beast digimon. Ophanimon offers to save him, and for a moment, Cherubimon changes to his kind self. She returns the children's detectors just before Cherubimon became evil once again. Ophanimon transports the children to Takuya and Koji's location.
An explosion occurs destroying the castle. The children wonder if Cherubimon has been defeated. The answer came when Ophanimon spoke on Takuya's detector. She could not purify him.....he was too strong. She then told them to gather their spirits as one. With the last of her power, Ophanimon evolved Takuya and Koji's digivices. Then her digi-egg disappeared.
The children closed their eyes and willed their spirits as one. If all spirits are one, then......
