As Koji searches for Duskmon once again, he wonders just what the Dark Digimon has on him. Meanwhile Takuya is searching for Koji...while the others (rather impatiently) wait. Eventually, Takuya runs into Bokomon and Neemon who were searching for Patamon. (This seems to be an episode of hide n' seek.) Soon Patamon is found and heads the group in the direction of Koji's whereabouts.
Not far off, Duskmon questions who he is, and just what is this about a twin brother??? Cherubimon appears and tells Koichi how his father abandoned them for another women. "Feel the Darkness...Destroy your brother of light!!" he echoed. Duskmon again evolves to Velgemon and is determined to destroy Koji.
When Koji sees Velgemon, he fusion evolves to Beowolfmon and demands the answers to his questions. He listens in shock as Velgemon admitted he was Koichi Kimura...his twin brother. When their parents divorced, each got one of them,....and their mother was NOT dead! The bitter Velgemon prepared his dark obliteration attack. Thank goodness...Takuya arrived just in time to push Koji out of harms way.
Takuya (recalling fights with his own younger brother) became angry when Koji informed him that Velgemon was his brother and refused to fight him. Takuya yelled, "You must fight him if you want to save him!" Takuya evolved to Aldamon and began to battle Velgemon. The flying beast spirit of darkness grabbed Takuya. Koji realized Takuya was right, evolved, and joined in the fight. The two chosen ones battled together...pelting Velgemon with a solar wind and then a frozen hunter attack. The young Koichi screamed from within his dark exterior.
"Unwilling slave of darkness---be purified by the light!" chanted Koji as he absorbed the dark fractal code. Koichi changed to his human self and fell to the ground unconscious. When Koji and Takuya approached the fallen boy, Takuya recalled seeing that boy before.
