The episode begins with Mercuremon and Ranamon arguing. The mirrored digimon accuses Ranamon of being afraid that she will end up like Grumblemon, because she lacks her beast spirit. Ranamon is confident she'll find her spirit and enlists the help of her many fans.
As the chosen children survey a beautiful island paradise, they run into the Toucanmon. These digimon are simply too good to be true. They prepared a delicious meal and afterwards, offered the children a variety of beachwear for some fun in the sun. In addition, they offered baskets to store their valuables (including detectors) while the children relaxed at the beach.
Zoe took her time preparing, because there were so many adorable bathing suits to chose from. While changing, Zoe thought she saw a peeping-tom and let out a high-pitched scream. This sent the others running into her dressing room. Yikes! Takuya and J.P. didn't knock first and boy did they get an eyeful!! Zoe took care of them!
Later, Zoe apologized and explained what happened. Of course, everyone suspected J.P., but he had an airtight alibi. Then Koji put two-and-two together. Sure enough...the Toucanmon (members of Ranamon's fan club) made off with all but Zoe's detectors.
The children go after the devious birds, but just as they catch up to them, Ranamon, warrior of water, appears. Zoe evolves to battle. Suddenly, from the bottom of the sea, Ranamon feels a spirit calling to her. It's her beast spirit, and she evolves to Calamaramon. Lucky for the children, Ranamon is unable to control her spirit and uncontrollably spins away.
Looks like the children are safe for now, but where did those Toucanmon go with their detectors??
