Zoe, J.P., Bokomon, and Neemon have ended up in a large field of sunflowers on their quest to find the others. Bokomon is babbling on and on while he rides on J.P.'s head. They plan to take a break and eat when they get out, but certain things interrupt their plans. J.P. trips, and just as Zoe's about to help him up, a Tsunomon bursts out of the flowers, followed by a Togemon. Both are surprised to see the humans, and Togemon (carrying a struggling Tsunomon) escorts them out of the field. It turns out that she's the teacher of a Digimon school, and she asks them to join them for snack time and the chance to tell the students about the Human World.
The students are all young Digimon, from Baby to In-Training. There's a Yaamon, a Gigimon, a YukimiBotamon, a Nyaromon, a Conomon, a Kapurimon, a Zerimon, and Tsunomon. They sing a welcome song to their visitors, but they're a little shy around them, as YukimiBotamon freezes Zoe. But things are better in the first class, story time, where "Professor J.P." tells them about the Digital World. He fails miserably, and Bokomon takes over but faces even worse. Everyone (minus Tsunomon) prefers to play with the humans instead. At recess, they play with the Digimon, but the fact that Tsunomon isn't liked by the others doesn't escape their notice. And at P.E., things get worse. During soccer, Kapurimon rams into Tsunomon to keep him from the ball. Zoe reflects on how unpopular she was in school, not quite fitting in due to her years of living in Italy. J.P. offers some well-meant but badly worded advice, but for once she doesn't yell at him for it. However, she changes that outlook when he tries to bribe the others to play with Tsunomon. He storms out of class, but Zoe goes right after him, followed closely by J.P. He ends up running right into a river, and Zoe jumps onto a nearby tree stump to grab him. But once she does, she falls. J.P. starts panicking and looking for a way to save her, but a bright light bursts from the water, and a Gabumon is seen carrying her out of the river.
Tsunomon's ability to digivolve is the whole reason why everyone else hates him. They pretty much view him as a freak since he can do it at will, and they're afraid of him. But the two Warriors don't see it that way, and they're grateful for his digivolution. But then a storm hits, and Tsunomon warns them that they have to go back to the school now. The last time it rained this hard, the entire valley flooded. J.P. and Zoe Spirit Evolve and fly Tsunomon to the school in a desperate attempt to block the flood waters.
Togemon, the students, Bokomon, and Neemon to some extent are on top of the roof. Needless to say, they're surprised to see Beetlemon and Kazemon bringing Tsunomon back. Tsunomon is surprised to see how strong and brave J.P. is as Beetlemon, considering just a few minutes ago he was terrified of the thunder.
Beetlemon places a large boulder in the path of the school, diverting the water while Kazemon blows it out of the way. The students start celebrating, but Kapurimon falls into the water and is swept away, barely holding onto a dead tree. The only one who can save him is Gabumon, who propels himself with his Blue Blaster and destroys an oncoming log with his Horn Attack before it can crush the other student. For the first time, the others aren't afraid of him and can't wait to digivolve either.
As thanks, Togemon and the students provide a land boat or something to that effect to take them out of the valley. Tsunomon remarks that he hopes to be as strong as the Legendary Warriors, and J.P. and Zoe quickly shut up Bokomon before he can blow their identities. After all, the last time that happened, they were hung over the side of a mountain. They take off, and Zoe realizes that if Tsunomon can manage to make friends like that, she can too when she goes back home. And to put it Rika's way, J.P.'s redeemed himself in her eyes after this adventure.
Just as they reach the edge of the forest, Bokomon sights three parachute jumpers coming toward them. Much like Dr. Dee from Zoids, Takuya, Koji, and Tommy have jumped from their plane to join the reunion. Now it's off to the Forest Terminal!
