While Sasuke, Naruto, and the girls make their way to the hideout, Shin is declaring his ambitions to Sakura. He is determined to carry out Itachi's wishes and the Uchiha name. His goal is to revive the Akatsuki and stir up conflict throughout the world once more. Sakura says she won't let him go after her husband and child. Shin commences his attack.
When Sasuke and the others reach Shin's hideout, they are met by numerous young boy-like clones. "Father's orders," they say, "get rid of intruders." Sarada and Sasuke go ahead while Naruto deals with the clones.
Inside the hideout Sakura and Shin are engaged in an intense battle. Sakura holds her own until the knives of Shin's sharingan dig into her arm. Luckily, Sasuke and Sarada arrive in time. Sasuke uses Amaterasu to burn away the knives and asks Sakura to heal her wounds while he faces Shin.
