Sakura has been sucked into Shin's vortex and kidnapped. Sasuke believes they can track her down by questioning Orochimaru.
Once arriving at Orochimaru's, the once enemy of the Leaf confirms that Shin was one of his past subjects. He described him as quite troublesome.
Meanwhile, Sakura is watching Shin repair himself. He tells her that all of the children she sees referring to him as father, are clones made from his teeth and nerves. Shin is planning to rebuild the Uchiha Clan. He blames Sasuke for Itachi's demise. He wants to kill Sasuke and take his sharingan.
Returning to Orochimaru's, Sarada recognizes the two men with him are the same two in the picture. She questions Suigetsu about the woman in the picture. After realizing what she is asking, he offers to do a DNA test. He pulls out what he believed to be Karin's umbilical cord. When the test comes back showing a perfect match, Sarada sobs. Naruto has overheard everything and talks to her about feelings (with flashbacks, of course).
When Naruto and Sarada return to the others Sarada cannot even look at her father, and Naruto angrily tells Sasuke that they must talk later. Of course, Sasuke doesn't even know what they are talking about. He tells them that his visual prowess has returned and they can head to Sakura's location and off the four of them go.
