It's been several weeks since the incident with Class Rep, Sumire Kakei. The strange power from Boruto's eye has stopped activating. Sumire confessed to everything and is being held.
Back at the academy, the students must choose a 3 person team. They are putting together different formations to find which members will be compatible as a team after graduation. Each team will then begin tactical training. Denki will be joining Iwabe. Shikadai has formed the next generation of the Ino-Shika-Cho trio. Mitsuki, of course, wants to stay with Boruto. The students ask about Sumire, but her return is unknown. She is currently under the Leaf Police's custody to prevent contact from other foundation survivors. Shino says he will watch over her if she returns.
The next day, the teams are going through tactical training when Shino Sensei gets a message a must step away. Later the students are overjoyed when he returns with Sumire. She has decided to return to the academy.
That evening one of Naruto's clones meets up with Sasuke, who gives him a scroll. Something is brewing. Afterwards, Sasuke quickly disappears asking Naruto to tell Sakura that he is sorry for everything.
Elsewhere, ominous characters somehow tied to Nue are planning something against the Leaf Village and its Hokage.
