
Episode 12: Boruto and Mitsuki

Mitsuki knows who the ghost is and given instructions to handle the situation.
The next day, the students are doing obstacle course exercises. Denki is on Boruto and Mitsuki's team. He does pretty well but needs some assistance from his teammates, which causes them to run out of time. As it turns out, everyone failed unless all members of the team make it through the course. It is a lesson in teamwork.
In the teacher's lounge, the instructors discuss Boruto. "Without a doubt, he's become the nucleus of the class," Shino says. "At the same time, he's the nucleus of trouble!"
Elsewhere, Mitsuki is observing Boruto's interactions with other students. He wonders why everyone seems to gravitate towards Boruto. Inojin says, Boruto does his own thing and makes up his own mind. Being accepted without any prejudice is a great thing.
A flashback shows a young Sumire. Her mother is lovingly combing her hair. Present day; Sumire remains in the hospital. Mitsuki visits. He asks if Boruto is causing her stress. She says it's fun having Boruto around. Then she changes the subject asking if Mitsuki has any family. "As far as I know," he says. She tells him that her family all died. He asks her how she feels about the person who did this to her? "I don't know," she says, "but I want this to be over quickly."
The next evening, Boruto takes Mitsuki to his home. He is warmly welcomed by Hinata and Himawari. Even Naruto joins them, but when he is called away, Boruto runs off angrily. Mitsuki goes after him.
He finds Boruto sulking. The young man feels that his father (Naruto) has abandoned his family after he became Hokage. Mitsuki listens absorbing everything he hears, and when the time is right, Mitsuki admits, "I know who's behind the ghost incident."
