Episode 11: The Shadow of the Mastermind

Sumire, Wasabi, and Namida were hospitalized after the events at the water purification plant. Sumire has many visitors. Boruto arrives and apologizes that he wasn't more on the ball.

Outside the girl's hospital room, Boruto is discussing the incident with Mitsuki and Shikadai when Naruto walks up. Naruto takes his son to view the latest Ghost possession victim in intensive care. The poor man's chakra was almost completely depleted. "This is no longer a matter for kids playing detective," Naruto tells his son. When Shino Sensei intervenes, Naruto puts Shino in charge of the boys.

Boruto, Mitsuki, and Shikadai return to their on the job training at the Post Office. Tayori talked the Bureau Chief into letting them deliver mail. This time, they did an excellent job.

Back at the hospital, Wasabi and Namida have been discharged leaving Sumire alone. She sadly watches them from a window as they happily leave with their families.

Returning to Boruto; the boys have missed two attacks, and Boruto is beginning to think that they are being watched to avoid areas where they have been delivering mail. Shikadai has asked for help from the other students and carriers so they can cover the whole area. Just as they leave, a masked figure possesses the Bureau Chief. He begins to reek havoc on the Post Office, but he doesn't get far. Everyone has returned quickly as they expected this would happen. The masked figure takes off but not before causing the Bureau Chief to go even more berserk.

Metal, Inojin, Mitsuki, and ChoCho go after the masked figure while the others stop the Bureau Chief's rampage. Unfortunately, the masked figure eludes all but Mitsuki, who comes face to face with the cloaked individual in the underground canals. Mitsuki just stands there while the figure disappears in the shadows (I believe he knows who it is.).

At the Post Office following the incident, the Bureau Chief is taken away on a stretcher. Boruto enlists everyone's help to clean up the mess left behind.

Later, in the shadows, someone is happily saying, "The negative chakra of the weak hearted opens the door created by the Hashirama Cell and becomes the nourishment that will awaken "Nue." The time for our dearest wish to come true is near...."
