Chapter 1: Terra
“Boys, there is someone who we are meeting at the airport.” Announced Mr. Dickinson, “her name is Terra.”
All the Bladebreakers were on a BBA bus on their way to the airport. They would then go to the second world cup in Vancouver, Canada.
“Really?” asked Max. “Why are we meeting her?”
“Who is she?” interrupted Tyson his face dripping with ketchup because of the hotdog he had just eaten.
“Well, I’ve known her for years through the BBA.” Replied Mr. Dickinson.
“That doesn’t say anything!” said Tyson impatiently, “why are we meeting her?”
“Well she’s fifteen and does tones of research and I was thinking she could help the team, she could help Kenny with all his work and stuff.” Answered Mr. Dickinson.
“You mean she’ll be coming with us to the world cup?” asked Max.
“Well, actually it will sort of be as if she’s joining the team. If that’s ok?” asked Mr. Dickinson hopefully.
“Why do we need another teammate?” asked Kai disapprovingly.
“Stop being grumpy Kai.” said Tyson, “of course its ok. We need someone to do more research around here.”
“And I don’t do enough?” asked Kenny offended.
“Just kidding chief!” said Tyson.
“Ok with me.” Said Rai.
“Me too.” Said Kenny.
“Same here.” Said Max.
“Whatever, I don’t care.” Said Kai.
“Wonderful!” exclaimed Mr. Dickinson. “She’ll be flying with us to Vancouver.”
When they finally got to the airport, to everyone’s annoyance, Tyson ran to the cafeteria.
They had some extra time so they all sat down at a table.
“Hmmm! This is so good!” said Tyson stuffing his face. Everyone sweatdropped. (Saphra: like in starwolf’s fic, everyone does not mean Kai.)
“Hi Mr. Dickinson.” Said a voice from behind them. Everyone jumped and then looked around.
There stood a girl around Kai’s or Rai’s height. She had brownish, blackish hair that was tied into tight pigtail braids, and dark eyes hidden behind thick glasses that were way to big for her eyes. She was wearing a light blue shirt with shorts just like Kenny’s except they were red. She looked like a total geek. If she got some new glasses, and let her hair down, she probably would have looked pretty.
“Oh, hi Terra.” Said Mr. Dickinson standing up. “Here is Tyson, Max, Rai, Kai and Kenny.” He said introducing the Bladebreakers. “Boys, here is Terra.”
“Hi!” said Terra cheerfully. She had a high-pitched voice that was kind of annoying. She sat down at the table. “So are you guys heading to the world cup?” she asked.
“Yup!” said Tyson full of himself. “And we’re gonna kick some butt!” Everyone sweatdropped.
Half an hour later they had all boarded the plain. There were rows of three and every row was facing another. The Bladebreakers and Terra all sat down in two of the rows facing each other
Tyson and Kai sat by the window opposite each other. Max was beside Tyson and opposite Kenny. And Terra was beside Max and opposite Rai. They all sat down and waited for the plane to leave. When it finally did, Max took out a magazine he had bought at the airport.
“Where’s Mr. Dickinson?” asked Tyson looking around.
“Mr. Dickinson can’t come, he’s got work to do right now, he’s really busy.” Answered Kenny.
“Oh.” Said Tyson, he opened a bag of chips and started pigging out. Kai stared out the window obviously annoyed.
“Wow!” said Max out loud.
“What?” asked Rai.
“Look” said Max. He showed Rai a page from his magazine. It showed a picture of a girl beyblading. She looked around sixteen. She was wearing jeans; a black tank top and she had a determined and powerful look in her eyes.
“Who’s that?” asked Tyson spilling food on the magazine.
“Hey!” said Max wiping it of, “oh, that’s Kiara Hishizu. She’s supposed to be a really good beyblader. It says here that she possesses a bitbeast that has been past down for ages. But they don’t know anything about it. Apparently she’s the best beyblader in the world. ”
“Wow!” said Tyson dreamily, “I wish I was the best beyblader in the world.”
“I don’t” said Terra. “Imagine all the fans.”
“I know.” Said Tyson, “that’s the best part!” everyone rolled their eyes.
An hour later, the plain arrived in Vancouver.
