Rafe makes his first appearance in episode 10 (A Royal Pain) when he and Page enter a battle taking place between Shun, Robin and Soon. Although they were just trying to help, Shun wasn't exactly happy with the intervention.

We later learn that Rafe is a young, patriotic soldier with the Neathian Castle Knights. He has been sent to Earth and Interspace by Princess Fabia to train with the Battle Brawlers. He idolized the Brawlers ever since first seeing them on Neathia. Rafe believes they need his help and will do everything in his power to restore the Brawlers to the strong team that they once were.

Rafe's Bakugan partner is Wolfurio, a Haos knight-like Bakugan. To increase his power level, the BakuNano, Lanzato, is used. It is a mechanical Spear and Shield that gives Wolfurio the upper hand.
