Although it may appear that what Jake lacks in brains, he's gained in brawn but don't let that persona fool you. In episode 4, Jake proves that he can be a capable brawler. Even so...this big guy can act pretty timid at times.

In this series, Dan's father had relocated to a new city. Dan met Jake (a member of the football team) at his new school. Jake thinks very highly of Dan often addressing him as "Dan the Man!"

Jake battles using the subterra bakugan, Coredem, along with the battle gear, Rock Hammer. Marucho give him Coredem in the 1st episode of this series. He is disappointed to find that it is only a synthetic bakugan and unable to talk. However, I envision Jake getting his own talking bakugan before this series is over. Don't you agree??
