After her identity is unveiled, Alice takes refuge at her Aunt and Uncle's home.

She goes out to the park only to see children playing bakugan. Running away from the game, she stumbles across a castle. It's Klaus's home. Once inside, Alice encounters Klaus himself and admits to him that she was indeed Masquerade. As they are talking, they are interrupted by a news cast reporting that a large hole was discovered in the Pacific ocean. Klaus's bakugan, Cyranoid, says that it is a portal to Vestroia. Alice blames herself for all the bad things she did as Masquerade. Saying that she is probably over-reacting, Klaus challenges her to a battle.

While they battle, Alice is reluctant to see the bakugan fighting. She is playing mildly trying to protect the them. When she realizes that everyone seems to be trying to save the world, she begins to battle to her full potential. This one, however, Klaus wins, but he is impressed that she got as far as she did. Klaus tries to teach Alice that the attributes of bakugan are how the world is represented. The world is a beautiful place, and it's everyone's responsibility to save it. Alice agrees..."After all," she finally admits, "I am a Bakugan Battle Brawler!"
