The events that led up to Marco's death are revealed. Let's just say he overheard Reiner and Bertholdt talking and had to be disposed of. Annie hesitated, but Reiner basically forced her to remove Marco's ODM gear quoting that she must act as a warrior. When a Titan began eating poor Marco, Reiner's split personality showed itself. "Why is a Titan eating Marco?" he said.

Another flashback shows Reiner, Bertholdt, and War Chief Zeke drinking black tea and discussing their objective. Their one goal; to recover the coordinate and put an end to this cursed history, which means the end of the humanity within the walls.

In real time, the armored Titan manages to scream the signal to Bertholdt, who is in a barrel that is tossed into the fray by Zeke! Armin sees the barrel and warns everyone to get away from Reiner. Bertholdt is about to blow everyone away when he suddenly spots the Armored Titan. Would you believe that SOB/Reiner is still alive? He transferred his consciousness throughout his whole nervous system.

After checking on Reiner, Bertholdt makes a move. "I'm ending this," he says. Armin attempts to negotiate, but Bertholdt has become strong and steadfast! Even mentioning Annie doesn't sway him. Knowing that the Armored Titan is now facing upward, Bertholdt transforms sending out a blast equivalent to a nuclear weapon.

After the blast, it is unknown if the Hange Squad is dead or alive. Thankfully, Eren, Jean, Connie, Armin, Mikasa, and Potato girl managed to survive...but for how long? The Colossal Titan is on the move, and Reiner is regenerating! Armin informs the group to retreat and head to the Commander for new orders, but will that let Bertholdt get the upper hand??? What will they do???
