A Wintery flashback reveals Ymir questioning Krista's true identity. She overheard two priests talking about the illegitimate daughter of the royal family who, rather than be outright killed, was sent off to the 104th Training Corps. If you watch that scene closely, you'll see exactly how Ymir was able to get Daz down from the cliff.

Present time: Wanting to protect Krista and the others, Ymir turns titan and fights. She does well, even saving the others from the collapsing tower, but she is soon surrounded. The titans begin to feast on her. Just when it looked like all hope is lost, Mikasa and the others arrive to save the day!!

NOTE: This episode is from volume 10 of the manga. The beginning of the Winter scene where Eren and the others are concerned for Krista was not part of the manga...only the interraction between Krista and Ymir. At least we were able to see Marco alive!
